Ruedi is the founder of YES! Driving School. Originally from Austria, he permanently moved to the UK in 2002. He now resides and provides a quality service as an automatic driving instructor in Wimborne, Dorset.
Ruedi is a Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) approved Grade A Driving Instructor and registered with the Driving Instructors Association (DIA). He is also a qualified Edexcel Lvl3 Assessor as well as holding a Fleet Training Qualification and NVQ 3 in Driving Instruction.
During his service with the Austrian Army and further work with the UN Military Police in Cyprus and the Middle East, Ruedi has acquired a range of skills and vehicle licences for Motorbike, Car, Articulated Truck & Trailer and Coach, both, with manual and automatic transmissions.
Ruedi loves working with people and passing on his knowledge. He also has experience in teaching windsurfing & dinghy sailing.
Being a patient and thorough tutor, he is happy to repeat his instructions until the manoeuvres are made to perfection. He puts his pupils at ease which is what makes his lessons enjoyable. Ruedi recommends the number of lessons one needs to pass the test and drive safely for life. He has been a driving instructor in Wimborne and the surrounding area for some time now. Ruedi has a comprehensive knowledge of the area and an in-depth knowledge of driving test routes around Bournemouth, Poole and Dorchester. Most of Ruedi’s pupils have passed their tests at the first or second attempt.

Passed 1st Time – 3 Faults.
I learnt with Ruedi in his electric car. We did have to stop because of COVID however, I continued to practice what he had taught me with my Mum and passed first time getting a cancellation test when they reopened in early December. My last lesson was the motorway & I would encourage everyone to go on that. Ruedi was easy to be with, calm & only ever explained why I’d done something wrong, no dramatics. I would highly recommend him.

I was worried I wouldn’t be able to get lessons in time before I went back to uni, but Ruedi was great in contacting me for lessons as soon as he could. Ruedi helped me massively with my anxiety of roundabouts and gave me little tips on how to calm my nerves while driving. He’s always cracking jokes and doesn’t make you feel under pressure when you make mistakes. Thank you for helping me pass my test!
I reached out to Yes! just 2 weeks before my test, after being pretty much abandoned by my previous driving instructor. I was not expecting at such short notice for anyone to be available to give me lessons beforehand and take me to my test… but sure enough I got a response from the wonderful Ruedi! He was more than accommodating and we immediately arranged some lessons before my test as well as a plan for the day of the test.
Ruedi was extremely relaxed, friendly and funny! I felt like I had learnt more in the short while that I was with Ruedi than in 20 hours with my previous driving school. I am a senior who lives and drives in Canada. I wanted someone to take me out on English roads and give me pointers about safe driving on what to me is the 'wrong' side of the road. Ruedi was an excellent instructor. He easily assessed where I was at with my driving and focused on what I needed to learn about the road system. Roundabouts are not quite the mystery they were and I feel more confident. I unhesitatingly recommend Ruedi as an instructor. He was very thorough.
Ruedi is a very professional instructor with extreme patience and a great sense of humour. He was able to pinpoint my driving problems and provide practical solutions. He cured me of lorry-phobia and roundabout-phobia. He also helped me unlearn many bad driving habits (such as stepping on the brake without checking mirrors and over-steering without moving hands) and made me a safer driver. Thank you again, Ruedi! I couldn't be happier with having learned to drive with Ruedi. He is a very calm and patient instructor and is very attentive to providing both excellent practical instructions and a positive environment in which to learn. I passed the new style Sat Nav driving test first time on 1st March with 2 driving faults all down to Ruedi's excellent teaching. He is a first class instructor who is very patient, reliable and ensures that you are well equipped for the test. The mock driving test that he arranged with Al was invaluable as it allowed he to pick up on my weaknesses. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ruedi and Yes Driving School to others.

As I have just passed my first driving practical test with a single minor fault, I can say without a doubt that Rüdi is an excellent driving instructor.Beyond always being positive and patient, Rüdi is exceptionally experienced, made evident by lessons I have had with him. In particular, I found the mock driving test he organised with another YES! instructor to be of great help, making me aware of what I needed to improve on. Cannot recommend Ruedi enough, best instructor Ive had, made me feel so much more confident im my driving, and made sure i didn't make the same mistakes twice. Having left it 20 years since my last lesson I thought I'd try a refresher! Ruedi is an excellent instructor with patience, knowledge and an unsurpassable knack for keeping nerves to a minimum. I started my lessons with Yes in mid January and took my test at the end of February. Passed first time thanks to Ruedi and Yes! I can't thank Yes Driving enough. Ten out of Ten.Awesome!! :o)

As I turned 17 I was very eager to learn to drive. After hearing good references about Yes!, I decided for them. Their prices were very reasonable and unlike some others, Yes! aims to get you through the test as quick & safe as possible, without having to pay for additional lessons.Three months later I passed my test 1st time. My instructor always had a very calm & cheerful manner helping me to relax and encouraged my confidence. I am very pleased and would rate Yes! Driving School 10 out of 10!

As an older learner driver – I was really pleased to find such a good driving instructor. Ruedi prepared me well for my test. Ruedi really helped me to focus on what I needed to improve on, and helped me to see how to improve my skills through demonstration and practice. I have previously failed my driving test and was very nervous about finally trying again after 3 years. I contacted Ruedi initially looking for a female instructor, however, after speaking with him I decided to give him a go and I am very glad that I did! I tried driving lessons before with another school and found the experience nerve-wracking and frustrating,focussing too much on irritating, unimportant details.On return from university, I signed up for a semi-intensive course with Ruedi and passed a month and a half later, on my first attempt!Ruedi radiates calm, gives sincere praise and makes you the force behind your own learning. Well what can I say!!..I past my test 1st time two days ago thanks to Ruedi at Yes! Driving. Ruedi is an amazing instructor, I was so nervous when I started my lessons and he really helped calm my nerves and build my confidence. He was really good at talking through any mistakes I made and helping me understand exactly what I needed to do to rectify them. I am dyslexic & have problems with sequencing & thought processing. I'd had some lessons in a manual car with another instructor who wasn't very patient or understanding. I absolutely made the right choice by going with Yes! From the get go, Ruedi put me at ease & helped with my confidence. He has the patience of a saint! I passed my test within 3 months and completed the pass plus / BTEC too. If I can do it, anyone can! No more waiting in the rain a bus stops! Don't waste any more time, book today.

I passed my driving test 2 years ago & have just done a Motorway lesson with Ruedi. I have always thought driving on a motorway with such a speed would be the most scary thing but it wasn't that bad after all!
